As a sidenote however there is a type of fencing designed for a scythe found in the Paulus Hector Mair compendium but its mainly just for show, and war scythes are a thing but their shape and angle of the blade is changed for greater functionality but they were mainly used by peasants and the like who couldn’t afford or have the status to use a different weapon.
